New clients receive an initial psychiatric assessment. This helps confirm a proper diagnosis and development of a comprehensive treatment plan. We recommend treatment options based upon detailed client information and the latest research findings.
Pharmaceutical interventions, if needed, are made in conjunction with appropriate laboratory testing and in collaboration with the client’s other healthcare providers. We provide ongoing medication management to monitor the client’s progress and manage medication side effects.
We work in collaboration with a client’s existing mental and physical health providers to complement existing treatment approaches. Clients needing psychotherapy, who are not already working with a therapist, are treated within our office or referred to specialists, as appropriate.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. TMS is typically used when other depression treatments haven't been effective.
